Seeking Support
The world is becoming increasingly hectic. We are now more connected than ever, with notifications bombarding us from the moment we wake up until the time we go to bed. The lines between work and leisure have become blurred, and we are always on the clock.
As daily life becomes more demanding, we have two options to cope with the stress.
The first is to plough on and try to be more productive by doing more and more by ourselves.
The second option is to seek support from those who can provide what we need, recognizing that those who specialise in a particular field have something valuable to offer in our lives.

DIY or Hire a Professional
We’ve all experienced the consequences of trying to handle a task by ourselves, thinking it would save us money, only to end up with a mediocre result that took longer and required more effort than if we had hired a professional in the first place.
And we’ve also learned the hard way about the dangers of opting for an amateur instead of a professional due to cost, only to be disappointed with the outcome. As the saying goes, if you think professional services are expensive, try hiring an amateur.
Managing our own finances as an expat presents a similar dilemma.
Should we take on the responsibility ourselves, or should we hire a professional financial adviser? For some individuals with the time, expertise, and desire to handle their finances every year, it may be possible, although not optimal.
A small minority have been successful in achieving financial independence through self-management. However, for most people, seeking the help of a professional is the recommended course of action.
From working with numerous expat families in Poland over the last two decades, we have seen the benefits of having a impartial third-party involved in financial planning. We have seen how easily expats in Poland can overlook important factors regarding areas such as tax and pensions, which lead to costly mistakes. We have also observed the peace of mind that comes with knowing there is someone available to answer questions and provide guidance.
You have two choices for your financial future: one in which you take on the challenge of managing your finances yourself, and one in which you partner with a knowledgeable professional who is aware of the potential opportunities and the pitfalls.
Although we may be biased, we believe that these two options do not lead to the same outcome for most people.
Financial Advice Poland: We Are Here To Help
Money is a source of worry for many expats. Our goal is to ease these anxieties and show you that a better future is attainable with a few key financial decisions.
While hiring a professional may come with a price tag, the cost of going it alone in the long run may prove to be even higher.
Although some may opt for the “do-it-yourself” approach, we offer the “with-help” option for families who want peace of mind, secure their financial future, and have time to enjoy their lives.
Real People with Real Results
From our first meeting in November 2013, Ross struck me as a great listener and observer, as well as a professional financial adviser who asks the right questions in order to mutually define financial targets and investment plans. He is both very knowledgeable on the technical side of financial investments and has great inter-personal skills. Each meeting consists in a pleasant and relevant interaction that is well followed up on and brings value to my family’s financial situation.
I have known Ross for over 10 years now when I still worked in Warsaw. Since I have moved via Prague to Brussels – but have not changed my financial advisor. Why should I? Ross is highly competent, reliable, has a good understanding of an expat’s needs and always comes up with good solutions. Not selling a product at any price, but trying to understand his customer’s needs, providing supporting analyses before coming to a conclusion.
Highly recommended.
In looking for a financial advisor, key to me was to be able to feel that the person the other side of the table was trustworthy and would place my interests at the centre of advice. Ross gave me this feeling the first time we met and the cooperation since then has shown that it is really the case, with excellent support provided throughout the process he has been engaged in.
